Mark has been our builder for our new garage and apartment, a new concrete driveway and the complete renovation of our home overlooking Whangarei harbour. All these major projects were undertaken when we were overseas for the majority of the time. A more difficult built we could not imagine and thanks to Mark's expertise and innovation they were all completed to the highest standard.
Our home renovation began as a roof repair but ended up as a complete tear down and re-build taking almost two years to complete. Our directive to Mark was; at all times only the best will do, no short cuts, retain the original architectural vision and keep us in the loop at all times. Without Mark's perseverance, and great skill both as a builder and lateral thinker we most certainly would not have been able to remain overseas during this work. His ability to quickly see what needed to be done and how to implement it was very impressive while always keeping in mind the cost to do so. Our extensive renovations included replacement of a multi-level roof, recladding the entire house, complete redesign of two kitchens, two laundries, and refurbishment of four bathrooms, four bedrooms and multiple living areas, with over 1000 square feet of decking which included difficult drainage below and a large concrete deck with a glass balustrade. Mark was able to call on a team of skilled sub-contractors for the specialist areas that were also of the highest standard. The new Jacoba hardwood floor linking kitchen, dining and sunroom gives a real ‘wow’ factor to our living space.
Dyanne always forwarded detailed accurate accounts every month and Mark sent photo's and telephoned on a regular basis so we always had a very clear picture how things were progressing and how the photos showed that the build quality was now in the bones of the building.
Above all, Mark’s attention to detail has been the standout feature of our restoration. We are now able to enjoy a significantly improved residence in a stunning location – a testimony to Mark and his team. Thank you Mark.
